Olivia is a voice teacher and certified speech-language pathologist who is passionate about all things voice and vocal health! She earned her Bachelor's in Vocal Performance with a minor in Spanish at University North Carolina in 2017. After recovering from her own voice difficulties in her senior year, she found her passion for helping injured voices. She went on to receive her Master's degree in Speech Pathology from the George Washington University. She completed her fellowship at the Grabscheid Voice and Swallowing Center of Mount Sinai, where she currently practices as a Voice-Specialized Speech Language Pathologist and contributes to research. In her clinical work, she rehabilitates individuals in English and Spanish with a wide variety of voice, swallowing, and upper airway disorders, including singers with nodules, polyps, and muscle tension dysphonia.  In her work with SKB Voice Studio, she enjoys training a wide variety of singers from across genres and experience levels. She incorporates her knowledge of anatomy and physiology from her work as a speech pathologist with the experiences and knowledge from her singing background to demystify the process of improving the voice. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology, is certified in Estill Levels 1 and 2, and regularly completes additional professional development courses in singing instruction to strengthen and maintain her skill as an instructor.

Sophie is a certified personal trainer and a performance anxiety coach, training performers in both physical and mental strength. With her unique background of vocal performance, fitness, and psychology, Sophie understands the difficulties of functioning within a high-stress/high-performance environment. She works with clients to address the everyday stressors of work-life balance, performance anxiety, burnout, and imposter syndrome. Sophie emphasizes a holistic, client-first approach, acknowledging that there is no "one-size-fits-all" solution. Her coaching style draws from the researched-backed techniques of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy, and positive psychology. As most anxiety comes from a preoccupation with the past or future, Sophie helps to redirect to the present moment and encourages action steps to help clients move toward a brighter future, using each client’s unique set of strengths and values as a strong foundation for growth. Emphasizing the mind-body connection, she provides her clients with mental and physical techniques to calm the nervous system and decrease chronic stress. In addition to coaching, Sophie has worked for 7+ years as an in-home and online personal trainer and a group fitness instructor. Her training style centers around building functional fitness and core strength. Routines focus on core training, balance, alignment, and building the major muscle groups. Her goal as a trainer is to help you move throughout your day pain-free. Sophie holds a Master's degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University, a Master's degree in Vocal Performance from New York University, and a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory. She is a certified Personal Trainer (National Academy of Sports Medicine), a certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist (National Academy of Sports Medicine), and a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist (National Academy of Sports Medicine).

Geddy is a singer, voice teacher, voice researcher and distortion specialist currently pursuing a PhD in Voice Research at New York University and is a graduate of the NYU Steinhardt Master of Music Program in Classical Vocal Performance with an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. As a pedagogue, Geddy’s focus is on utilizing tactile vocal tasks and tools that address both airflow and resonance to reduce vocal effort and improve vocal output regardless of voicing style. With experience working both privately and as a Graduate Adjunct Voice Faculty Professor at NYU Steinhardt, Geddy has taught many genres of singing including Metal, Jazz, Musical Theater, R&B, Hip-Hop, Classical and more. He has additionally gained notable vocal rehabilitation and habilitation training and experience as a Singing Voice Specialist working with voice clinics in the New York City area. These clinics include the Sean Parker Institute for the Voice at Weill Cornell, the NYU Langone Voice Center, the Columbia University Irving Medical Center for Voice and Swallowing, and the Grabscheid Voice and Swallowing Center of Mount Sinai. Geddy’s research focuses on distortion and the vocal mechanisms used in distortion for both performance and rehabilitative purposes. His research has been presented at voice conferences that include the ASHA Fall Voice Conference, The Pan American Vocology Association Symposium, and The Voice Foundation Symposium. Along with the voice team at the NYU Langone Voice Clinic, utilizing Geddy's research, a protocol is in development for teaching ventricular vocal fold phonation to clinical patients who have lost use of their true vocal folds through distortion methodologies. This experimental protocol has already found success in clinical practice and the findings were presented at the 2022 Fall Voice Conference in San Francisco.

Carrie is a New York City based voice teacher and active Musical Theatre performer with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Penn State University, where she studied the Bel Canto/Can Belto curriculum under Mary Saunders-Barton. She is trained in vocal pedagogy through the Institute for Vocal Advancement, and is a certified Vocal Health First Aider through VHE. She is committed to growing and staying current as an educator and regularly attends conferences and courses through organizations such as One Body/One Voice and Musical Theatre Educators’ Alliance. Carrie has a decade of experience teaching voice, and for the last four years has run a full time studio as well as continuing her performing career. Carrie has been on the National Tours of Once the Musical (Girl Cover) and A Charlie Brown Christmas, performed at regional theaters all over the country, and traveled the seas as a featured singer on a cruise line. She enjoys a wide variety of music and has been a soloist with multiple symphonies, played with jazz and rock bands, and sung her own original folk music while accompanying herself with one of the seven instruments she plays. Favorite credits include Ring of Fire at North Carolina Theatre, Big River (Mary Jane) at Sharon Playhouse, The Spitfire Grill (Shelby) at Oregon Cabaret Theatre, and Mamma Mia (Sophie) at Sierra Repertory Theatre. In the studio, Carrie is passionate about bringing together vocal technique and artistic expression/interpretation, and believes that both must be present to cultivate a truly balanced instrument. She teaches both online and out of her home studio in New York City.

Diana is a Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in voice, upper airway, and swallowing disorders. She received her Master of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh and bachelor’s degrees in classical vocal performance and music education from the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music. She received specialty training in the evaluation and treatment of laryngeal disorders during her clinical fellowship at the Emory Voice Center. Ms. Becker has extensive performance experience. Prior to pursuing her training in speech-language pathology, she spent 10+ years as a NYC-based artist, performing musical theater and opera repertoire throughout the US and Europe. Clinical interests include working with the professional and singing voice, as well as making voice therapy accessible and relatable to those who are less comfortable working with their voice.

Caitlin is a voice teacher and active Musical Theatre performer with a Bachelor’s of Music in Voice and Opera from Northwestern University. In addition, she is a Meisner trained actor studying under Laura Henry and she loves to incorporate acting through song into her technical instruction—as they often serve each other. Caitlin started her career at The Lyric Opera of Chicago’s production of The King and I while in undergrad at Northwestern. After graduating, she moved to New York City and left shortly after to tour with the North American tour of Les Misérables which she performed in for over two years as the Cosette understudy and in the ensemble. She then left Les Misérables to be the Christine Daaé alternate on the Phantom of the Opera World Tour, which was the only major English speaking production to run in the world during the pandemic in 2020. She recently released her debut album, “So This is Love | C’est ca l’amour” and it is now available for streaming on all platforms. Caitlin just finished performing at Riverside Theatre’s production of Man of La Mancha as Antonia and is now teaching in New York.
